Hello and welcome to Aloe & Sage beauty studio!

I'm Amy, best known as 'the brow and lash gal' for my beautiful sets of silk lashes and perfectly sculpted brows. I'm also super passionate about helping people achieve their best, healthiest, glowing skin using low-tox, Australian made skincare.
I am a diploma qualified beauty therapist with multiple masterclasses in brow/lash treatments and 13+ years industry experience working with some of the top skin care companies in the world. I love skin treatments, the punchy ones that leave you glowing with minimal downtime afterwards. Gentle Peels, Micros and LED light therapy all the way!

I started out on my beauty career back in 2009, predominantly working on the northern beaches of Sydney. Apprenticed by Leigh Turtle the owner of a bustling Manly based clinic. Here I experienced the excitement of working in a fast paced medi spa environment, learning all about skin science and pushing the limits of what can be achieved with the right products and treatments.

More recently I have gravitated towards the true alchemy of wholistic beauty therapy.
Working with Kate Bukovac, a skilled therapist and teacher at a wonderfully earthy Avalon based
salon.
Recently I have continued my learning journey, completing a yoga teacher course at Qi Freshwater,
touching on Ayurvedic techniques with Ayurvedic master Mauricio Eberlein. And learning under Reiki Master and teacher Joan Miller.

My aim as a therapist is to provide a calm space where you let go of the day for a moment
and leave feeling and looking a little bit better.

Aloe & Sage beauty studio is based on the northern beaches of Sydney. Offering beauty treatments in a warm, relaxed environment. Providing customised facials, cosmeceutical peels, LED light therapy, Hydro/Microdermabrasion, eyelash extensions, brow sculpting, tinting, holistic massage and body waxing.

Aloe and sage values brands that share the same respect for the planet and the belief in providing beauty that doesn't cost the earth.
For A&S that might mean stocking intelligent products that are non toxic & free from animal testing. Reducing emissions by choosing local Australian made skincare, or simply cutting plastic bags out of the picture. Whether it's big or small, Aloe and Sage makes an effort to reduce its environmental impact on the earth. - Maybe with a little more love and care, we could change the world!

The wellness industry is booming & beauty-land is saturated with so much choice! As technology improves there are more treatments, lotions and potions on offer than ever before. With so much abundance of choice it can feel a little murky when trying to pick what is right for you. When curating our menu I put a focus on providing treatments that deliver tangible results. Carefully chosen and effective in bringing about positive change. Services that I’m confident in offering my precious clients!

What’s in a name
Aloe & Sage was originally going to be named “the face space”.
Although “the face space” is descriptive of the services provided, it misses the alchemy involved.
​
Aloe is an important base ingredient in many of the lotions & potions used in skin treatments. The aloe plant was found depicted on temple walls in the tombs of the Pharaohs. The Egyptians called it "the plant of immortality."
​
Native Americans have burned Sage for centuries as part of a spiritual ritual to cleanse a person or space, and to promote healing and wisdom. Scientists have observed that sage can clear up to 94% of airborne bacteria in a space and disinfect the air.
When burned sage releases negative ions, which is linked to putting people in a more positive mood.
The Latin word for sage "sativa" stems from the word heal.

“Meraki” - To do something with soul, creativity or love, to put something of yourself into your work.
